Default Rear spoiler deployment

I just installed a duck tail spoiler a couple of weeks ago and was wondering if there was any way to get around recoding the cars PMC to stop the ECU from sending a spoiler error every time I go above 76 MPH The closest Poreshe dealership is over 300 miles away. I was thinking I could use/ wire up a couple of relays one that throws a ground back to the ECU when the car exceeds 76 MPH and a second one that throw a ground to the ECU below 76 MPH. If some one has already done this it would be nice to not have to rethink if they have the proper wiring. Thanks

Did you try pulling the spoiler relay or fuse?

I think it can be programmed off with a Durametric Pro too.

Nah, pulling the spoiler motor fuse does not prevent the spoiler deployment error from displaying when reaching or exceeding speeds of 76 MPH and I was kinda hoping to spend a couple of eight dollars on a couple of relays rather than $500-$600 on a Durametric pro. The ECU codes need to be disabled or the limiting switches for the spoiler need to be triggered to communicate to the ECU the spoiler has been fully raised when car is at or above 76 MPH and again when the spoiler has been lowered. Again I am pretty sure I can use a couple of relays one that sends a ground or current to the ECU when the ECU sends current to the rear spoiler to deploy and one that sends a ground or current to the ECU when the polarity is reversed on the motor and the rear spoiler retracts.

Easier to contact your local Porsche club and have a member turn it off with a Durametric.

Peace

Durametric is the righteous rondo this instead of messing with the car wiring. It's a simple coding change that can be done with Durametric Pro, changing the spoiler setting from Active to Fixed. I had to go the other way on my RUF car when making their fixed bi-plane wing active Aero like that of the Twin Turbos.

You can have it removed with a porsche PC. Aftermarket versions works as well. I had it done on my car for 30 usd.
