Nice car, but thats a serious stretch.
LOL No. You Misunderstood me, it 'reminds me of' not 'Makes it'.

Btw, it's not just a ducktail and center exhaust. Every detail in the exterior, interior, motor, and suspension has been considered and i've carefully curated every piece on this car to create something truly bespoke to me. I've taken their same 'hot rod' philosophy and built something that is special to me and not off-the-shelf.

Your setup looks great! The exhaust setup is comprised of the listed parts; The mufflers are by Afterhours Automotive in San Pedro, and it is the Version 1.0 which is their louder variant. The headers are one-off pieces that were developed for me by David Borla of Borla Exhausts when the 997 was first released. The cats are custom high flow cats using 200 cell HJS cats (Which are the same type that AWE performance uses). In terms of the center-exit routing, I brought it to a local exhaust shop that a lot of Hot-rod guys here in So. Cal bring theirs to in Costa Mesa, CA.

The existing dual outlets on the mufflers were cut off and replaced with custom routed piping that exits out the center. I had them use stainless steel tubing, TIG welded, and also had the tubing done with mandrel bends, not crush bent.

For a long time it was something that I wanted to do, especially when I had the full GT3 setup; But now with the retro ducktail and 60's plate, I really like it as it contributes to the retro feel and Porsche's vision of every-day sports car. Plus it's very useful for me when wiping off morning dew and rain as I live in the mountains and frequent the Bay area.

I agree, he's great isn't he? I've been to MANY shops over the years as I am a serial modder, but he has to be one of the most detail-oriented people I know in the industry, and his OCD is something I can appreciate as I am in the field of Dentistry.

An example is the routing of the decklid wiring. Other shops on my previous decklids just let the wiring hang and don't bother making provisions of the decklid light. Chris wanted it to look factory, so he drilled into the decklid, and routed all the wiring inside the decklid so that none of it can be seen hanging exposed. Then he found me a replacement decklid lamp, cut out the provisions for it, and wired and installed it for me. Anyone in Southern California looking to get bodywork done definitely needs to give him a serious look.

Stunning car! What are a set of those wheels going for and where can I get them?

Man, this is exactly the look I was going for with my car.

Except I'd wanted to do a Sport Classic replica rear bumper instead of a GT3, but your car makes a very convincing argument for the center exit exhaust!

I like the way your exhausts sound, too. Just the right amount of aggression for me.
