Be glad you bought a 997. You should read what it takes to park a 991. From what I gather anything more than overnight and by the time you've hooked up the trickle charger, cleaned, covered and sealed- not only the car but the entire premises- overfilled the tires with nitrogen and levitated it onto the approved tire pads, you will find its now spring and time to start anguishing over how to safely start and warm it up or should you just flat-bed it to the dealer for the oil change first?

Meanwhile, back in the 1970's, they made 911's you could just park, then come back months later and they would just start right up, maybe a puff of smoke, maybe the tires vibrate a little the first hundred yards, and then you are just good to go.

My guess is the 997 is a lot closer to the second example than the first.
