Cracked windshield
Safellite replaced the windshields on my wife's Cayenne and my 2012 Carrera last summer. (Two rocks in less than a month.) The windshields were installed properly. However, they forgot to reattach the windshield washer lines and nozzle heaters. The washer obviously didn't work and emptied itself very quickly which triggered the dreaded red exclamation symbol on the instrument panel. The dealer was kind enough to reconnect the lines and heater wire at no charge.

Still haven't replaced the windshield. The crack is small and out of driving site. Called dealer and to replace the windshield it is approx $1500. Safelite charges approx $500 for aftermarket and original Porsche windshield for approx $900.
I called the dealer and they gave me the name of the person they use. Called him and was quoted $950-$1300 for the OEM glass. Needed my VIN to verify. I am guessing it will be the $1300 one since its a cab. I believe this is the OEM manufacturer: http://www.saint-gobain-sekurit.com/
SafeLite slit the dash on my oldest son's Toyota with their razor and said nothing about it. It was only because we inspected the work that we found the nearly 10" gash along the leading edge. They would only pay to have a guy repair it with vinyl repair... they would not replace the dash.
My middle son's Kia ended up with a water leak after a SafeLite replacement.
Two mishaps out of two jobs can't be a good sign, so you can guess my opinion. I would also bet they don't know how to deal with your GPS antenna connection... several reports of that occurring here.

Like most jobs very likely depends on the installer and team. Pretty sure they are a franchise so can't apply to all Safelites. They did my BMW in PA perfectly, then when the mirror fell off taking a chunk with it they replaced it for free. Both times without issue.
I got several bids except for Safelite because of what I've read and heard about them. Places here said they can either get OEM for around $1000 or aftermarket around $500, but some of the installers said they don't recommend the only aftermarket they can buy which is FYG (Chinese). They've had fitting and distortion issues.
not sure why they would charge you that much for a window
I personally would go with the Dealer rather than with somebody else.
