Cooler ambient, a little FVD magic and some better driving by the loose nut behind the wheel results in lap 3 seconds faster than the one from September I posted in #95 above:

Nothing too exciting as it was the first time I took the 997 to the track, and it was my first time at this particular track (Thunderhill West). I have an E36 track car so I don't think I'll see too many track days in the 997. I did find out how much the P Zeros do not like the track though - burned through more than half the fronts in a day.

The cars make it easy to look like a hero.
I turned the traction control off, but found that after a lap or two it would come back on. I believe it re-engages when ABS is activated, which surprised me as I figured traction control on a Porsche would stay off if switched off. I believe this lap it was re-activated already.
It's like the Windows XP wallpaper.
