Default First 911: 2006 997.1 C2S, Guards Red

As for most my dream car, since childhood, has been a Porsche 911. My daily is a modified VW GLI Stage 2+ (330WHP). Long term I want to own a 911 Turbo and this was a pretty good start.

I searched for months to find this. Tried to convince myself I liked the Cayman and couldn't do it. Tried to convince myself I liked the 996......even harder. Ended up increasing my budget so could get into a low mileage 997. My opinion is of all the water cooled 911's this is the model they got right. I'm mildly concerned about bore scoring, however, the car shows no symptoms and had a clean PPI. So onto the good stuff pics and specs:

2006 911 Carrera S (21k miles) Guards Red
-Sport Chrono Package
-Short Shifter
-Bose Stereo
-Adaptive Sport Seats
-19" Sport Design Wheels
-Colored Wheel Crests
-Crest in Headreast
-Self Dimming Mirrors

Looks like a great low mileage example, love the sports seats, and guards red is great for the 997s!

Congrats and welcome!

Thanks for all the compliments! The community here is really great. I do feel a little bad my vw lost her garage spot for the summer.

I spent a couple days on paint correction to fix some minor swirls. The Porsche paint is sooo soft. There's a few very minor dings but no one notices but me. My only complaint is the quiet exhaust. I was tempted to perform the gundo hack. The windows will get tinted, though.

And for the record red was at the bottom of my list, until I saw it in person. Now I absolutely love it. Apparently red was rare-ish for 997s which I confirmed with production numbers posted her - 5% I think.
