I thought Fidelity no longer offered extended warranties on 911's?
My buddy has a fidelity warranty for his s5 and it more than paid for itself in the first year.

My dealer suggests a policy from Safe Guard. Anyone have experience with them. Covers most everything but will pay 50% on IMS failure. Quoted about $3200 for 06 997S with 8900 miles. Yes 8900.
What is the final word on Fidelity? Do they still cover 911's? Where is the best place to get a quote? I'm in SoCal.

Did you buy it directly from the website?
About a month ago I called Fidelity for a warranty on a 2010 PDK with 32k miles and they wanted ~$4k for 3yr/36k. This was also just a engine/trans warranty.
I declined. My main goal was/is to have a warranty for the PDK since I track the car.

Told them I would "think about it and, get back to them". He checked w a "supervisor" and came down on the price a bit.
Mine was purchased around November or so.

I had come across this thread and I figured I start canvassing different Fidelity vendors. I have an '08 C2S with 43k miles and this is the best offer I got. I am still in CPO till 2/2017. Any comments welcome.

I have not started to negotiate the price yet, but according to the finance manager, as long as I keep my mileage below 44900, the prices won't change. I may get the 6/60k one since you seem to get more for your money. They have a 7/70k one but my car doesn't qualify anymore I think. I will probably decide by October this year and just enjoy my car till then. I do not think I can drive my 997 10k miles a year anyway since its a 4th car. Thanks for the insight.

I've been getting tons of PM's regarding where I got my Fidelity warranty. I know a few other RL members also bought it from my contact.
Reach out to Andrew Luong at Alhambra Volkswagen. His quote was almost $1,000 cheaper than Sunset and Pacific Porsche. Very easy to deal with.
His direct phone is: (626) 227-4960

I got a Fidelity Platinum policy from Ford of Greenfield in Mass in June 2015. I got it before I hit 10,000 miles and it is a 2012 C4S that I purchased new in August 2012.Call Troy Dietrich at 413-773-5455. I paid $2,611 for a 7 year/70k mile with a $100 deductible. He deals in high volume and is mentioned on Rennlist.

4 years for $5500 = $1375 per year plus a $250 deductible. So I guess the question you have to ask yourself is, are you happy spending max of $1375 plus deductible per year for potential repairs? Or would you rather roll the dice? I think it comes down to a personal choice and what makes you sleep better. This quote reflects the mileage on your car as they are mileage driven. Considering where your mileage might be in 4 years its not totally unreasonable. Many people say that the Porsche CPO warranty of 2 extra years is worth around $2500 or more. This seems to fit the equation.

I just got off the phone with Sunset Porsche
My car has 35,200 miles and is a 2007.
Quotes:
2/24K - $3573
3/36K - $4730
4/48K - $5940
I think these are for the Platinum coverage. These go in to effect when you purchase them, so I still have a few months left on the existing policy and will call back in a month or two. He did mention that Audi who owns porsche is looking to move away from Fidelity, so if that happens Pcar warranties could just purchase you another car instead lol. I got a quote of over $10,000 for the standard porsche warranty.
I really just want to cover catastrophic items like the transmission, and major components.

Let it be known that this is only for cars still under their 4 year original factory warranty.

Reviving an old thread:
6 year/60,000 mileage Fidelity Platinum with $250 deductible on a 2007 Turbo with 18k miles, $3,269.00 PM me for dealer and contact info.
Circle Porsche wanted $4,150, Sunset wanted a lot more. This dealer by far beat everyone's quote by a long shot and was very straightforward. Definitely recommend.
