Circle Porsche, Long Beach CA sell out of state warranty. My 2008 997 Turbo has 9968 miles, warranty cost $2400 for 6 years/60k miles with $200 deductible. So far, charcoal canister fro the emission system fail and activated CEL cost $900, dealer call them for authorize on the phone and fixed without any issue.
RE: the decision to buy a warranty or not.. I normally decline the warranty on almost all consumer goods, etc, and even lesser cars, but I decided to buy one for my 997 turbo. These are fantastic machines, but when they break, it can be big $, even more so than a NA 997. My CPO runs out in 3 weeks, and I just got my car back form the dealer after what would have been an 8K repair.. Maybe I'll be good for another 3 years, maybe not..

Reviving an old thread:
6 year/60,000 mileage Fidelity Platinum with $250 deductible on a 2007 Turbo with 18k miles, $3,269.00 PM me for dealer and contact info.
Circle Porsche wanted $4,150, Sunset wanted a lot more. This dealer by far beat everyone's quote by a long shot and was very straightforward. Definitely recommend.

Being in the insurance and financial services business, the best way I've heard it explained to me is:
You buy a home. You insure it. Do u really want it to burn down so u can make a claim? Too many people view insurance as something to get ROI on.
Bottom line is buy it if it mKes u sleep better at night. Everyone has their pain point on pricing. Personally, I have more than recouped my money on my cayenne turbo s. On my carrera s and Audi rs4, no claims yet (knock on wood).
There really is no right or wrong answer, bcwe don't have a crystal ball.

I'm floored by the fidelity pricing everyone has received! This is what I was quoted in November!!!!! I have a 2011 c2s with 39k
The Porsche will be a 60 month 60000 mile total care coverage, which is the level requested for $14,667.00 plus tax.
On the rs4 with 59k miles:
As for the RS4, same coverage, 60 mo 60000 miles $16,557.00 plus tax.
The Porsche will be a 60 month 60000 mile total care coverage, which is the level requested for $14,667.00 plus tax.

Is this an Apples and Oranges comparison? Not familiar with total care. If you are interested in an exclusionary policy that covers anything and everything mechanical other than what is specially excluded, that is called Platinum policy by Fidelity. The numbers you have been quoted makes no sense even if they include other risks (wheel and tire, ding, etc.) and you need to shop around for competitive quotes. Lots of dealers sell Fidelity products and do not limit your shopping only to Porsche dealers. I bought mine from a Honda dealership.
Good luck.

I did my warranty through ASAP. My 07 has 60,000. I paid 1900.00 for 3 years and 36,000 miles.
It is an exclusionary policy. Very straight forward, although I have yet to use them. They do have a good rating online.

About a month ago I called Fidelity for a warranty on a 2010 PDK with 32k miles and they wanted ~$4k for 3yr/36k. This was also just a engine/trans warranty.
I declined. My main goal was/is to have a warranty for the PDK since I track the car.

For reference, I just received a quote of $3600 for 5yr/50k from ASAP for my 05S w/44k miles. Pretty sure they would have done better had I been willing to do it immediately.

Hi, I was just in touch with ASAP for my 2008, C2S with 47,500M. Quote was $750 higher than yours for 3 yr, 36k. What did you do to work them down to $1900?
Thanks in advance! John
Update; I guess you just wait for them to call you a few times without answering.. They called today and offered $2100, then after some haggling I got 3 yr / 36,000 miles, includes wheel replacement and tire damage replacement without a deductible for... $1800. SCORE
