New to me - 997.1 S
Been a long time lurker and have finally pulled the trigger. I pick it up tomorrow and having a hard time sleeping (in a good way). I wanted a GT3 (who doesn't), but unfortunately funds are not available for that at this time. I have been waiting for years to find the right time to get a 911. It's been a boy hood dream (like that commercial) and finally decided to make the leap. I wish I would have done it sooner, but needed to be financially responsible and every time I went to buy one I backed out. Kept telling myself I need to save more and I will get one in a few years. Fast forward 7-8 years (LOL). Wow has time flown by in a flash. I am sure I am not alone in this thinking. I am about to turn 41 and figured enough is enough. You never know how long you have on this earth. Anyways, looking forward to being a contributor on this forum for years to come. My current garage queen has been demoted to daily driver. New car will be restored wherever there are issues. Nothing is perfect, but I plan to make it as close as possible.
Current Daily - BMW Z4 3.0i 6 spd (trading it in) - been a great car!!!
New Daily Driver - E46 M3 LSB 6 spd (My first real car goal - had poster in my cube)
New Garage Queen - 997.1 S - Plan to use it on weekends
Detail - 06' 54k miles
Options - Pretty much loaded
Exterior - Silver
Interior - Brown (I was skeptical at first, but is nicer in person. Has a masculine cigar bar feel - tough to describe)
On to the pictures......

Thank you for the kind words. It's not as nice as most peoples car's on here, but at least I'm in the game now. Plan is to drive it and enjoy it. So wanted a GT3 or Turbo, but all in due time. If only they made the 991 GT3 in 6/7 speed and I would have been able to afford one. The prices are ridiculous and not willing to part with that much money at this time. Figure I will climb the ranks and get to enjoy each model. Gotta walk before I can run.

Ftlaud911, congratulations, I know how you feel. I just bought an 06 a few weeks ago, same color actually. I saw yours online and thought about going down there to check it out before mine became available locally. That interior is stunning. If the car doesn't have MPSS's on it, I highly recommend them. The ride is night and day. Enjoy!

Looks great enjoy it. As far as how it stacks up against others on the list, that brown is well-regarded and yours looks well-equipped. You'll also find many regard 997.1's as "pure" examples of the 911 design. People still ask me if mine is new... amazing for a 10 year old car.

I have the same color combo except mine is a cab. The Cocoa Brown interior has to be seen in person and since mine is a full leather car, I agree with the cigar bar description. I am toying with having Eric paint my center console GT Silver Metallic to break up the darkness a bit.
Congrats....
