Just call Darin at FD Motorsports and have him send you some nice ceramic coated ones. Send your factory ones back to him, and he'll make them into something nice for someone else.

Then you know you've got the good ones. No need to be skeptical about someone else's work.

You'll be glad ya did.

+1

I did mine there and loved them. If like me you are worried you won't like it just do it on a set of spares. I just so happen to be selling a set in great condition no and I'm local to you. I never went back to stock btw. The fister product was excellent.

Shipping to Darin is about $100 from here. There's also no downtime for the car if you do it this way. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

It's not a hard mod at all. Any muffler shop will be able to do it. FD is probably the best though.

I did mine myself and no issues.

I did the Fister with ceramic along with the Sharkwerks Xpipe. Sounds like a Porsche now

+1 on the Hanksville gundo hack, No drone but when you put your foot in it, along with a K&N air intake, it really sounds good!

I'll join in with the Fister crowd. Put mine on in November 2015 - got the black ceramic coated. I love the sound. Just like everyone says, below 3K very reasonable but when you punch it, it sounds great. Darrin was great to deal with and was right on time with the shipment. I wouldn't to hesitate to go that way.

No drone, just more pops and gurgles to my ear. Would recommend on a 997.1 for sure.
