I am picking up a 2010 C2s Cab today and its a Certified Pre Owned vehicle. Do I get documentation that states its certified from the dealer?

My C4S was CPO. The dealer provided a folder that had info stating my car was registered as CPO and information about the CPO program. I was gtiven the info when I got the keys.
Also, Porsche sent a pretty cool box a few weeks later with a pen, some Porsche books, and more info on the CPO program.

Yes you get the CPO documentation including info about what it covers and when it expires. It is marked up with a few notes about the state of the wear and tear items like tires as well. You will have to sign it.
Here is a copy of the checklist so you can study what to expect ahead of time: http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/Certi...-checklist.pdf
BTW, Porsche's CPO was just listed as the #1 CPO program, beating out even Lexus... as noted in SpeedyD's thread here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...omparison.html

I read the CPO fine print (as well as the fine print from BMW and Mercedes) and, what I like about Porsche's CPO warranty for my 2010 is that everything is covered as long as the car receives required maintenance and the part hasn't been modified, essentially.

bought a cpo car, from a remote dealer. I took it to my dealer and they said the most important thing is to have it under warranty when they look it up. And, when they do, it is a 6 year warranty under its VIN

It should be noted that it is not required to have maintenance done by the dealer. It just has to be done by someone. Furthermore, only lack of maintenance related directly to a failed part will disqualify. For example, if you fail to bleed your brakes and your engine fails, the two are not linked and your engine will be covered.

My cpo kit came in the car when I had it delivered. Great thing, the coat hanger on passenger side was flaking not scratched cpo covered it. Also the car had squeak coming from the engine, after wash the car. Belt and tensioner replaced under warranty. All tensioners were inspected and within spec.. Also brand new set of tires were on the car.
Heck it looks like new!
