If motor has not yet suffered catastrophic failure - stop driving it and do a motor refresh.
I peronally will eventually do mne with Raby's shop, but, it is not the only place that can repair your engine. As of getting new one for $25k at dealer - depends probably what dealer it is and what experience they got, but i would not trust any dealer that kind of a job as they do not care about you and will reuse all they possibly can making this not a good refresh and will still charge you more than Raby will for his bulletproof rebuild.
