Default 997.1 DRLs--Are you still happy with them?

I am considering doing the DRL upgrade from Del-Ray Customs. Just wondering if those that have had them installed for a while are still happy with them? Are they still functioning like new, etc.....?

I have this fear of having them for a year and then a bulb going out and being out a whack of cash........

Thx

I have the full compliment of DelRey LEDs...installed by DelRey himself.

6 months of error/fault free operation. I opted for the relay for the DRLs so they turn on automatically with engine on.

I also did the smoked rear lights to blend in with the Seal Gray.

Couldn't be happier with the kit!

Consider me interested in the feedback on this topic, although I'm most interested in the long-term taillight reliability.

And I might add, a very sweet looking car!

I posted long time ago how to do it with one diode in the light switch. Search for it.

I have the LED Fronts and am using hte horizontal fiber optic section as my DRLs with the current sensing relay - I posted a while back on how to do this with an SPDT relay so that it only lights the fronts, not the rears too. I also have the LED side markers and the Depo LED Rears. Another full set on my wife's C2S also, but she doesn't run the DRL module. All have been working fine for over a year (18 months), although just in the last two weeks, I'm starting to get some taillight fault messages on my car, yet the lights seem to still be working correctly. May use Durametric to clear the codes and see if they return.

I got a Right Rear light error and when that happened, got the double speed turn signal flash on that side. Restarted the car later that day and it hasn't returned since. Am now getting Left Rear light error and that one is happening almost every time now, so I'll check it out and report back.

Even if I need a replacement set, I'd do them again as the really modernize the look of the 997.1 cars and people are really surprised when I tell them our cars are 2005 models.
