Close up of tips on left and right sides. There are about 15k miles on these and they were done about 2 years ago. Cost was $60.00 for normal powdercoat coat.

Prior to applying the powder coat, they media blast the item. I would imagine the chrome would come off during that process. It is best to talk with the people doing the work.

Thanks for sharing and those look darn good for 15K miles...my guy said he would charge me $80 to do both but when i talked to my Porsche (Motorsports division) they said everytime they tried getting tips powdercoated they never last and they tried a few places??? They don't sell tips (will order and install the for you) so I would not think they are trying to make a sale and they are very knowledgable guys...but good for you...for $80 I may have to give it a shot???

Man those look really nice...don't you also have black wheels? I have been thinking about the "all black" scheme for my Black/Black 997 but just have not totally decided yet...want to see one in person.
