Default Removal of front signals

Trying to remove my front signal lights on my 2007 carrera s with aerokit. The guide mentions a "card" that comes with the tool kit or owners manual that i dont have. What is special about this card? Is there any way to remove them without it?

You can use a credit card. Just slide it in between the signal and bumper to pry them out.

I've found that one credit card may not be enough. I used two old gift cards which did the trick for me.

Thanks guys. I tried the one card trick last night and didn't have enough leverage. I will switch to two.

Are you sure you don't have the card. It's should be in the trunk behind the lower panel where the tow hook is.

Make sure to use an expired credit card, you'll ruin it. Went through 3 or 4 "cards" to get them out. I used expired gift card, insurance card etc

Don't forget to drain the blinker fluid first or you'll make a mess.

My card was in the leather case with all the manuals/booklets.

Mine was in with the manual.
On the above leverage. It not really a pry motion.
Its more of a slide in to move the tab over movement.

And if you insist on OEM, Suncoast sells them for $10 http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...de=997S_Lights

Maybe your credit limit is too low...

Or try an old hotel card key.

The card should be smooth without raised letters or numbers on it. I put two expired AAA cards together to get enough rigidity. The hotel card key mentioned earlier also seems like a good choice. My OEM lights released very easily - the LED replacements are a much tighter fit and you'll wreck the edge of the card by the time you've gotten them to pop loose. The card goes into a V-shaped slot on then side of the light and pushing it in brings in the side of the V that's has engaged with the bumper opening to hold the light in place.
