We’ve had an opportunity to take a close look at the 991 GT3 Cup Car and examine it's suspension. I posted this in the 991 GT3 section but thought you guys might find this interesting as well.

Nice to see this real axle steering nonsense has a direct cup replacement toe link part.
And if uprights are same then it is just a matter of swapping out calipers and then one can probably use proper 18" track rims as well. Nice.

There's also another problem with rear lower control arm that will prevent an 18" wheel fit.
I started another thread about it here - https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3/...explained.html

yep, I saw it.
it would be nice if you could test that new 991 gt3 against cup using same driver and similar (to some level) tires to create some sort of a baseline comparison, if you can put aim Solo or similar unit on it to measure actual lateral/longitude Gs it would be just awesome.
I personally have very mixed feelings about cars and factual performance of those cars on the track compared to actual price of the car.
my car right now runs 1:23.5s +-.3s laps at Thompson and this allowed me to pass new stingray vette at last event, Boss car, only car that was consistenly passing me with no chance to keep up was yellow Z06 vette on hoosiers - and I ran on non-shaved RA1 tires. I think that vette was doing 1:19-1:20s laps.
There was also 991 gt3 car on that event, in a lower run group but I tried to measure its laps and it was going around 1:20-1:21s in average. obviously it depends upon a driver a lot but it is a big question what actual lap time improvement your money will buy if you start comparing modified C2 like mine, or proper GTS4 NASA e36 race car or a modified Z06, or a new stingray vette, which I was able to pass due to much better mid-corner traction, apparently.
