Buying a used 997 question...

Hi,
I'm a new member and I'm going to buy a used 997. So far I've narrowed it down to two local cars that have roughly the same asking price. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
2007 C2 - with 44,000 miles, sport chrono package. The dealer (not a Porsche dealer) also includes a 1 year 10,000 KM power train warranty.
2005 C2S - with 25,500 miles. Private sale, fully loaded 'launch edition' with full leather, ceramic brakes, PASM etc. He also says the upgraded IMS , RMS, and new clutch were all done as a 'proactive measure not because of need'.
I would get a PPI from a Porsche shop before I buy either. Do the extras and the lower mileage on the 2005 make it worth it even though it's 2 years older? I'm confused... Whad'ya think?
Thanks!

Sully - Get that launch edition quick before it's gone. I've had one for nearly 6 years now - one of the best car purchases I made. The black on black looks real sharp with the big yellows - you've also got the full leather, Adaptive Sport Seats, PASM - your IMS has been upgraded, and it's super low miles. Grab it, don't look back.
Also only 337 of these editions were made. I waited over 11 months to get one - i've only seen maybe 3 for sale over the last 5 years.

Definitely the 2005 C2S. You'll like the extra power and refinements from the S. Also, the PCCBs make zero dust so the wheels always look good, not to mention the stopping power and virtually lifetime pads.
If you're going to be doing your own work on the PCCB car, get 2 of these

threaded alignment rods so you can slide the wheels off on the pins and not run the risk of dropping one onto the rotor and chipping it - they're super expensive to replace and although very durable from a braking and normal use perspective, very brittle and sensitive from an impact perspective.
We have one of these launch edition cars (it's my wife's) and ours was also a European Delivery vehicle. We're the 3rd owner and when cleaning it out found a receipt from the German Autostrada (Autobahn). Ours already had the larger IMS bearing installed from the factory.
Here are a couple pics from when we bought it, and what it looks like now - she liked it in the original black, but loves it in the pink pearl (Valentine's Day gift). She drives it every day running the kids around to school, their other activities, etc - 15,000 miles last year.

I'm actually a Hokie, but with in-state tuition being what it is, will probably become a Tiger fan when my kids are ready for college.

Thanks. We initially considered a wrap, but noone made a light pink pearl, just hot pink and some other shades that really didn't look very good. So it's actually paint, and really quite nice in person as it has a lot of depth and looks like slightly different shades depending on the ambient lighting.
