Right..One of the $$ add ons, BUT whereas yours have a GT2 type ridge to them, mine do not have that. Must be due to Aerokit.

Sorry OP to go offtrack here!

And here's mine with SPASM. I agree that the slightly lower stance does look great!

I am noticing that my side sills are different than a couple other GTS's pics posted...was that a change for '12, or is it due my car having aerokit?
I have aero kit like you but no painted side skirts. My sides look like everyone else's which basically are GT3RS sides skirts. I believe the painted sides are different and a different material. Interesting as I never noticed until you brought it up and went and looked at various cars.

Yeah the SPASM does make the car look great! Either Way the GTS is just a beautiful car!

I thought aerokit was just front and rear spoilers, nothing changing on the side skirts. Here's some info I found on the GTS:
Exterior
· Wider rear body (+ 1.79 in. / 44 mm)
· 19-inch RS Spyder wheels with center locks std., painted in black with high-gloss rim flanges, with rear tires 305/30 ZR 19 - available on a Carrera model for the first time (so far only for 911 Turbo models)
· SportDesign front apron with front spoiler edge in black (available in body color as EXC option)
· Wider side skirts in black (available in body color as EXC option)
· lower rear apron and section between tailpipes in black
· Available in the same solid and metallic exterior colors as found in the standard Carrera range. The special color range is limited to GT Silver Metallic and Amethyst Metallic.
· Carrera GTS logotype on rear and doors in Black for light colors and Satin Silver for dark colors

Anyone here with an Amethyst metallic GTS? I've seen a lot of them but never one in that color.

Seems to me that any low miles GTS with an asking price of less than $80K will either not be CPO (until 2017 or beyond) or has a story or two.

They are a great version of the 911.

In my search for a PDK-equipped GTS, I found a few CPO cars in the $78-80k range. But they were without some options I wanted, mainly LSD or Sport Suspension.

Got my 11 gts cab with 11k miles a month or so ago. Non cpo, only issue was a bumper repaint. Took a paint meter to the entire car, which I suggest you do as well. Settled on $74.5k and love the car. You can't go wrong with a gts. I love the NA motor and enjoy the drive more than my buddy's 13 carrera 4. He does too

Eduardo,

Gorgeous color….Ever since my TB non-metallic paint I favor that genre more than metallic but that one's a beauty. Isn't there one (forget the official title) in non-metallic?

Thanks my friend!

Thanks Eduardo - that's the first I've seen in that color. My friend has a 964 Turbo in that color and it's REALLY nice.

Tom:

Your 'Turquoise Blue' is still a favorite. Is that color code 3AS?

I don't know of a non-metallic 'Amethyst' type color in recent times. There was of course the unforgettable 'Aubergine', color code 025 (photo #1), back in 1972/1973 and the special order 'Royal Purple' (code 341 - photo #2) too! Both are non-metallic colors. Glorious colors for those groovy 'Age Of Aquarius' years!

"When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

This was the moment when the rise
of the oceans began to slow and our
planet began to heal"

That last verse I just made up and threw in just for 'fun'. It's not part of the original song. But I was in a 5th Dimensional Twilight Zone frame of mind (as Rod Serling would have said) and just got carried away thinking about the Choom Gang...the love, the smoke and the PTS-like colors!

It's an interesting color which was seldom ordered. Really a shame.

I'd love to be able to find a CPO'd Carrera 4GTS with SPASM...seems like they're pretty tough to come by.
