I'm a little surprised at the above diatribe in regards to dogs. What a great way to welcome a new member with a new car. The rant certainly changed my viewpoint on dogs. I'll now make my JRT's sleep outside on a concrete pad and they will only be nourished with the blood of squirrels. Since their days are unlikely to be filled with the squirrel hunting I'll construct travois for them so they can haul miniature bales of wheat back and forth through the yard. They have to earn their keep. Getting too comfortable. This will naturally upset my wife as she loves spending time with the dogs. No matter as I'll construct a hand operated stone mill so she can grind said wheat endlessly and make bread.
Or maybe, just maybe, we should just let people live THEIR lives as THEY wish and not poop all over their threads with unrelated drivel and narrow minded viewpoints. Just a thought.
Ezkill...Thanks for the welcome & kind comments about the dog. Cassie says back at ya, or she would if she weren't more focused on mooching a piece of the tri-tip I'm grilling!...T
Congrats on the car and nice pooch! As everyone is in the mood of sharing dog pics...Here is one of my 4-legged son Spike...trying to figure out what to order at Raising Canes hahah
Nice dog. That's what RL needs, a good dogs (cats too, no reason to be chauvinistic) & Porsches thread!
I don't think it's chauvinistic but I've yet to see a cat that actually enjoys car rides. I could see how that would go down. Cat goes in car. Cat is promptly and permanently attached to alcantara roof liner or quite possibly the top of my head.

Dogs and Porsches has a lot more promise
Susan and I have a Norwegian Forest cat that loves to go for rides BUT that is what the appliance (Scion xD 3.0) is for!
While I fully respect y'all that allow your fury friends access to your toys, my shadow will not allow for it.
I didn't ”get it” either, but my wife wanted a dog, I relented. In less than 2 weeks the little pooch worked her way into my heart. She had kennel cough, worms, was under fed when we got Cassie at the pound, which was one day after her ”expiration date”. In those first days I spent several nights sitting on the floor in our back room with Cassie in my lap. She now treats me like a hero when I get home each & every night. Just my silly story. So, hair or not, mess or not, she gets to ride in the Porsche! I suspect other pet lovers have similar tales of bonding. Of course, to each their own...T
