LED interior

To revive an old thread, I also get the purple dot pattern with the Ziza LEDs from the ECS kit, but it does work perfectly. I replaced the footwell LEDs with these blue ones, and it looks great. I'm not one for colored lights, but I think the look is outstanding, so I'll keep them. I'm going to try blue in the dome light too, but not the map lights.

Map lights don't seem to work

The solution ended up being to disconnect the battery (of the car) for about 15 minutes or so, and then reconnect the battery after the LED's were installed. After doing that, I had no issues.

I had a problem initially when installing the LED bulbs in the lower doors. The original incandescents worked, but the LED's would not.

Hook up some test.leads to a spare 12v battery and see if they come on. That will tell you if it's the bulbs or the car not sending power to them anymore because they don't have enough resistance for the controller to know they're supposed to be on

One other thought (if you don't have another 12v battery) is to use a 9 volt battery to test the LED bulb. It has enough juice to power an LED.

You can also just hook the test leads to the battery that's in the car.

I ended up buying the USP Motorsports kit as well for the convenience and some assurance of quality. All lights worked as advertised, although the lack of diffusion causing blue/yellow streaking on interior surfaces is not quite the clean look I wanted.

I found the lights I installed to be a bit too bright... something to consider should you do this swap. No biggie, but LEDs sure produce light.
