OTTO FUCHS vs. Porsche Classic Design Wheels
Hey guys, I am trying to make a decision here to pull the trigger on a set of wheels. There is a small margin of price difference in between these two sets.
I would like to see some real world pictures if you have them. And yes, I searched a bit. So if you make "that' comment, I will pass on my advise on the next "CEL help' thread
Thanks in advance.

Just to be clear, are you talking about the Sport Classics sold from Porsche or another variant. I believe there are 3-4 variants of this wheel floating around. I've got the sport classics and love them. But, it's simply because I prefer the design over the others and don't really care about the weight.

OTTO Fuchs = Forged, Porsche Classic = Cast... if prices are the same, it's no brainer which to pick, I let you answer that one!

Here's a real pic of Otto Fuchs one, plus a video on 997, it looks great IMO and way better than Porsche classic wheel, yet Forged... again, no brainer!

First let me say that the original Fuchs are my favorite wheel ever on a 911, and the quality of this new wheel is (I'm sure) up to their standards. Also I'm aware that the brakes etc. dictate where the wheel face has to be placed, but...the video that shows the 997 cab really shows how far outward that front wheel face has to be. To me it looks like a fan sticking outside the tire. Kills the look IMHO.

Fuch's
I love the 5 spoke style of Fuch's. To prove that, I have bought 5 sets already.Sport Classic was my 1st set,on the 993 & Blue 997 Targa.
Then a set of AG's that I painted Gold. Then another set of AG's that the supplier painted Seal Gray.
Lately,I ordered a set of original Fuchs FP1,Polished/Brushed on the Atlas gray 997.
After all these, the replicas from AG are the best value.Made well too.

Many good thoughts on the different variants. Great to have options.
Personally, I simply liked the look of the Sport Classics over the other variants. Doesn't imply an endorsement on which is the best quality or the most faithful to the original, I just saw a set on a Speedster at the dealer and wanted them. I like the stepped lip design and so far, really enjoy the look.

That's why I got them over the Otto Fuchs. I fell in love with the Porsche version ever since I saw them on the limited edition 911 Sport Classic car. Also, I prefer to keep my car OEM whenever possible.
While list price is about the same, if one looks hard enough, there are Porsche OEM wheel + tire packages sold for quite a bit less than the Otto Fuchs wheels + tires. (I needed tires at the time I got my rims.) I don't track my car, so the added weight isn't noticed. Having said that, the Otto Fuchs rims are awesome too!

To the OP:
If you haven't seen this thread in the 997 forum, check it out: (Sorry, I can't figure out how to actually list the address, but here's the title)
"In case you missed it...FUCHS for a 997"
If still available, this should answer your question about whether to get the Porsche version or the real deal.
