What size tires are you running? Perfect stance by the way and what colour is your paint?

Thanks, it's Platinum Silver Metallic. Tires are 235/35R19 and 295/30R19

I'm partial to the silvers, but every time I see your car, I am impressed. Such a great example of good care and tasteful mods creating a timeless look. Well done, sir. A really fantastic 997.

The platinum silver looks like it has a little champagne hue in it. It's very pretty and would be breathtaking with a cocoa interior to bring out the light brown or cold hue that's in it.

I think GT silver is just as pretty but in a different way as it has black in it so looks a little sportier where the platinum looks a little dmdore luxurious or refined.

Hard to go wrong with any of the Porsche silvers or greys - platinum, GT, Meteor, Seal, Arctic, Atlas, etc...

I just went with a set of LMs. I know they are common here but they just suit the car so well.

i installed a B12 pro kit (Eibach springs + Bilstein B8s), unfortunately no meaningful drop, but the car drives so well now and I’m trying to not care because my wife drives the car and it’s a backup daily driver. I have a 991.2 GT3 and E30 M3 that are plenty low and stiff already. Maybe I’ll swap in H&R springs that I have sitting on a shelf.

sorry, my car photo game is weak.

Hi Guys,

looking for a advice on wheel fitment, i have 997 C2S (narrow body) and i`m looking at HRE 890R wheels:

Fronts 8.5J 46ET R20
Rears 11J 63ET R20
(i know 19" would look/feel better, but this deal is way too sweet to say no )

I`m 95% sure they will fit, but need some acknowledgement from you guys!

Edited:

P.s if you could help out new 997.1 owner with tyre size advice on these wheels (if they fit) that would be awesome!
Car is lowered on coilovers.

Thank you!

I think the fronts will be very close to pushign beyond the fender by 1-2mm

the rears u have almost a cm until it hits the fender.

That front wheel is 2mm inboard of the 20x9"ET50 we have sold to a few 997s before, worst case scenario is you will need to move your front strut top mounts inboard on the factory slotted mounting holes to get a few more mm's of clearance. The rear should be a non-issue, you may even end up throwing a spacer on it after you get tires mounted to have it match the front fitment. Something like 235/30-20 and 305/25-20 is likely the tire sizes you want to keep them from being too tall. A 245/35-20 front tire will be far too tall and will hit the fender liners while turning.

FRONT: 20x9 ET:49 - 245/30/ZR Michelin PS4S
REAR: 20x11.5 ET 66 - 305/25/ZR Michelin PS4S (15mm spacer)

Just as a reference. Fronts I would run as is...rears I would run a 12-15mm spacer.

@Apex Wheels is spot on.
