I decided it use to 2". Perfect in my opinion.

I went with a 2" bypass and it's loud enough for me, but I'd be interested if the tone improves further with the center muffler delete.

Thanks in advance,
Bill

I enjoy mine. To me it only sounds barely louder than stock it changes the tone more between 3-4k.

The car feels crisper or more refined in those two modes. Before, yes it would shift at the higher rpms but now does so w a more seamless transition. Best way to describe it for me is to drive a 991 PDK in sport (without the sport chrono option). I am very happy I did it. The normal mode is also much better, especially when rolling thru a stop sign. No lag or bogging down. Hope this helps.

I had a rough idle on my 09 c2s pdk. Returned the item and was refunded no problem

Love mine! I have the SW Center Pipes installed on my 997.2 Manual with PSE! The sound is the best I've heard from a 997! I also have installed a bypass for my PSE so that it stays open all the time (or closed whenever I want) and the combo is the best sounding upgrade for my P-car! No drone or rough idle!

I got my installed a few weeks back. It sounds really sweat, but like others have said you need PSE or Gundo hack to really benefit from the volume increase. Its just loud enough for you to enjoy it and not **** everyone off around you.

My car is manual and no drone what so ever. Actually if you're cruising on the hwy in top gear at the speed limit, its perfectly quiet.

I agree. Had the Tubi on the .2 C4S and loved it but the current PSE/SW bypass setup on the GTS tops the Tubi to my ears. Just nasty past 4K rpm. The X51 headers make a difference but I've heard the same setup with stock headers and it's pretty close.

Default Sound quality

Searched a lot for a video that I could determine if sound was different between the stock center muffler and the crossover. found only a couple. I decided to do the crossover, IPD, and mapping. Huge difference in response of the vehicle. sound has definitely changed too. may not sound that different on video, but in person there is a noticeable difference. only did the crossover and kept stock side mufflers. 10 second video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mksj...ature=youtu.be

X2...sounds very exotic... and bitchin!

You will want to mod the mufflers or get pse to let the sound out.

Hey... that is pretty notable. Good job of doing a quick back to back comparison making it easier to hear the difference. If you get a chance sometime, I'd (and probably we'd) be interested in seeing what you think the performance change was across all of the different modes with both the tune and other changes... similar to what RobC4sX51 did in brief in an earlier post.

I installed the SW on my 2010 C4S PDK with PSE. Love the added sound, no drone, but I do have the rougher idle they talk about. But it sounds great with the PSE on and is still quiet in "whisper mode" as I call it.
