It seems pretty certain no one has built one, but what an interesting idea. Extra weight aside, my issue is the complexity... hydraulics, motors, rams, seals, sensors, flaps, 3 different lubes required for the service, special tools to use in case it stops working when you're out with the car.. on and on. The only thing more complex than a cab is the 991+ targa.

Remove the doors - A lot easier.
I am guessing that with so many components for top/clam shell/latches/etc it would be extremely difficult & cost prohibitive to convert to manual.
