Default Wheel spacers sizes for 997.1 (non S)

Looking for suggestions and input on what size wheel spacers I should order. I was thinking initially about ordering 5mm for both front and rear. But after some research on Rennlist, I'm leaning towards 7mm front and 15mm rear. I have a 2007 with 19" lobster claw wheel. The car is equipped with stock suspension but considering in the near future going with KW ver3 and lowering to euro height.

Also, any recommendations on where to source the spacers.

Thanks, everyone.

I have 5mm on my 2S. The car came with them. I'm thinking of going 5/10 or 10/15. I have a few calls out to suppliers.

I think you already have your answer, 7mm front and 15mm rear is a popular choice for good reason, it works well and looks "right" I think Big Smoke's idea of 10/15 may even work better as there is room to come out a little more at the front with 7mm spacers.

I can't recall what the offset is on lobster forks, but I run a 8.5" wide rim with 45 offset rim at the front and it fills the wheel well out pretty well, although you could still come out a little further.

I have lobster wheels with 15mm spacers to the rear...no front spacers. No issues with rubbing.

Thanks gentlemen. 7/15mm. it is.

I looked at a S for a friend that had the same wheels as my car. But I noticed the stance looked better. This particular car had spacers but the dealership had no idea what the thickness was.

10/18mm.

I have 7/18mm, lowered and tracked, with no rubbing even with 305 rears. Wish I had more up front, but just my opinion.

Same here. 10/18 lowered on H&R with no problems. Still at 295 rear though. How do you like those 305's? Is your car NB?

EDIT - nevermind I just read in another thread that you're a NB like me. FINALLY someone with 10/18 spacers, H&R's, and 305's! My only concern is that either the sidewall will look a little too fat or that they will poke out TOO much (the 18mm rear with 295's and drop sit flush.)

Can you do me a favor and PLEASE post a couple pics of your rear fitment. Specifically a straight on shot and then a semi side shot? That would do SO much to help me when it comes to ordering my next set of MPSS which is coming up SOON!

Thanks so much,
John

Sure, I will work on taking and posting some pics (haven't ever posted any on the forum). I only have 7mm up front at the moment, but want 10mm or more unless I install lower control arms for my desired camber for track use.

305's fit and look fine, except for maybe my Bridgestones, they poke out a little more than the others, but doesn't look excessive with the right front fitment. I haven't installed my MPSS yet, but based on their sidewalls, wouldn't see it being an issue. Hell, when I dismount my Hankooks after this DE, maybe I'll quickly mount one of the MPSS for a real world comparison.

I'm really just looking to get a good couple shots of your rear so I know whether to pull the trigger on these 305's or not since our setup is identical

Understood, my offer was in helping you see what the actual tires you want would look like in true form.
Different tires = Different sidewalls = Different fitment.
Out of town for the weekend, but will take and post some pics with the Hankooks when I return.
