OP - I love your car. It looks great and sounds great. The detailing job is superb. I wish I had a friend who could do work like that.

One question. Is your steering wheel smaller than normal? I'd like to get a smaller steering wheel so that I can sit higher and get a better front view without hitting my leg when shifting.

I don't/didn't know if Porsche made steering wheels in different circumferences.

It's a Porsche seat that you can buy from the dealer. I bought it used from a friend.

Thanks! I also love the car more and more every time I drive it (or look at it).
The steering wheel is the standard sport model wheel that came with the car. I think the wide angle camera makes it look smaller than it is. I also hit my knees when turning. I think the main problem however is not the size of the wheel but the position. If the wheel was closer to my lap, I wouldn't need to push the seat so much forward and my knees wouldn't be bent as much.
I have a RS alcantara wheel that I will swap it with but I don't think that wheel is any deeper.

I washed the car today, it was very easy as it has the ceramic coating now. The dirt literally just falls off... =)

And then I found this on the garage floor... I suppose it's RMS/IMS replacement time...?

Beautiful conversion and awesome detailing skills! The oil could be RMS issue. Check your filter to see if there are any metal flakes suggestive of IMS issue.

I called the previous owner (who happens to be a friend of mine), he has replaced the IMS and thought the leak might come from the crankshaft seal.
I suppose it's best to change the oil and see what the filter has gathered, as you suggested. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

Tonight I replaced the brake fluids with ATE Super BLUE. I boiled the old fluids on the track on Friday.
I don't know how I ever managed without the ejector bleeder...?

Your car looks amazing!

You mention you have an exhaust system to go on, but what system is already on it? Sounds great...

My GF is Danish and it is always a treat to see a supercar because you appreciate the amount of money cars are due to the tax!

Finally put on the RS steering wheel tonight. It looks the business!! (and feels great too)

I also got really excited about Harry's laptimer on iPhone. I bought a 10hz bluetooth external GPS antenna and a RAM mount for my iPhone. Can't wait to go out on the track again!!

Awesome car!

Steering wheel and shift **** look great!

Was the 997.2 RS Steering wheel a simple swap on your 997.1? Or did you need the electronic steering module?

Thanks!

The steering wheel was a straight swap. Though, you also need the facelift sport airbag, the 997.1 sport airbag won't fit the later wheel.

Just looked at the service manual and the previous owner has indeed replaced the IMS bearing with a LNengineering product.
So I am assuming (=hoping) it is the crankshaft seal that is leaking now.

Next you ask me how I haven't looked at the service manual earlier...Well, I bought the car from a good friend of mine so I skipped the due diligence part....
