Morning all,
This is my first 911 as I have always wanted one since starting driving a few years ago. During college I have had two 944's and a boxster so I am not exactly new to the porsche brand, just the 911 experience. I guess now I have drank the koolaid and understand what all the hype is about.
Here is my new to me 2007 C4S in meteor grey with stone grey interior. I love it so far. First tasks are motul fluid change, clear side markers and a new air filter.
Hopefully I can meet some other local bay area 997's sometime.

I like it, you will hear pretty quickly some one say "you need to change the pumpkin turn signals" I do not want to be the first to tell so I won't. Even though it is a cheap fix($30-$40).

haha yup. Clear side markers and a new oil drain pan were the first things I bought.
Also just ordered some 200 cell cats. I hate loving modifying my cars.....

Here's one way to spend a lot less time cleaning your wheels:
One of the first things I did when I picked up my car (and the last two cars as well) was change the brakes pads to Hawk Performance Ceramics. Of course, it helped that the dealer had done new brakes as part of the CPO so before the discs were worn I was able to just switch the pads and keep the discs.
These pads leave a LOT less dust on the wheels. Its my understanding that the dust they do throw is less sticky so it doesn't stay on the wheels as much. The dust that does stick is a lot grayer and less visible on silver wheels. Performance feels equivalent to OEM to me, but I don't do a lot of consecutive extreme stops or track the car so I can't say I know if there are as good or better there.
If you get unhappy with the blacker dust from the OEM pads and your discs haven't worn significantly, I'd recommend the switch. I no longer feel like I need to wash the wheels more frequently than the rest of the car.
It only cost me around $225 to make the switch doing the work myself (you have to shop around to find the best price, it varies a lot from place to place for the same product). If you are VERY careful and patient you can salvage and reuse the existing wear sensors and vibration dampers to save the money those cost like I did. No squeals or any other problems.
