Well let's see...I've let my wife drive my GTS, I've let a pro drive my GTS multiple times, I let me friend next door neighbor drive my car by himself, I've tracked my car many times, I've driven my GTS in the rain, I've let someone else wash and detail the car among many other things...so I guess my GTS will be worthless when I sell it. LOL

I let my mechanic drive my 911 Turbo many years ago. He was a terrific driver. He shed 3 seconds off my best road-course time at Hallett Raceway in just the first lap. You can learn a lot from really good drivers. (I also knew that he could fix anything he broke, because he was the president of the company!)

What you will learn is that there is no such thing as coasting. It's either full acceleration or full braking--and nothing else.

These cars are pretty tough--nothing like the older 911s and 930s, but still pretty tough.

If this comes through twice, pardon me. VT will drive at Sears in March on a reserved track day which Beemer dealer set up. Told me great story of 917 driving: He was instructed to follow another 917, slightly different set up, through a turn at full throttle - the car could do it - but the psychological factor was overbearing. Over 1000 hp at full throttle, through a turn. Can't forget the german coach's accented words "Full Throttle! Full throttle!" over headset. Raised his thumbs on the wheel to create the slightest sense of backing off. Took a few attempts, but finally did it. There weren't more than a handful of 917's to go around....
