Anyone else out there having hit or miss performance with their Homelink? I have a 997.2 and to not put to fine a point on it I think the system is crap. My wife's Honda works every time in comparison.

Mine worked every time at the previous house, which we sold in June of 2013, and has worked for the last three months at the new house.
At the new house, which has a different brand of garage door openers than at the previous house, I did notice that I have to press and hold the button for about 1 second.

Actually there is. The directions in the manual don't always work so there are additional steps to take. Trying to find the threads on the subject but no luck yet. I used the sauce and it works without exception.

Mine, like some other functions in the car, has a mind of its own. Most days it works just fine. Every once in awhile it needs a long push and/or for me to have the nose of the car almost up against the garage door.
We have two other cars with Homelink and they work every time almost from the street.

I had a hell of a time getting mine programmed, but once I got, it seems to work reliably. Unless the car is already in the garage, and then it doesn't work at all. I have three other remotes that work just fine inside the garage though.

The Homelink in a 991 probably works with the new garage door openers however I would be curious to know if a 2011/2012 997 Homelink works.
