Hi Everyone,

Guess what? I've still driving the Targa after two years. Just turned 40k miles. CPO expires this month. Just had it inspected, and the car is in perfect operating condition. Rock on!
On the other hand, I signed a contract to replace it with a Guards Red 991 last January. Fortunately my Fed tax bill saved me from relapsing!
It's like AA: one day at a time.

BTW- love the Nordic Gold. My Longhorn emblem would look great on that car!

So, do you still have the Targa? No 991 yet? It's been way too long since your last adventure!

What a great story! Thanks for taking time to post it!

I live in the Seattle area and have never seen that car before. And with that unique color, I'm sure I'd remember it.

I hope that you took the time to drive down the Pacific Coast Highway in your trip from Washington to LA. I have family in CA and make that drive once every year or so and I'll never grow tired of it.

Great story and 997 you currently own (Awesome color!) I purchased my 997.2 earlier this year. Guess what car caught my attention on a Vegas Carmax website back in the Spring? Your green 997! I chased the VIN back to the Las Vegas car dealer you mentioned. I never pursued having the car transferred to a local Pa Carmax. It shortly disappeared from their website. A few weeks later it was back online transferred to a Carmax in Ca. Lost site of it after that and found the perfect 997.2 for me locally.

There was also a post on rennlist from a member with interest in the Carmax 997 listing. He posted photos asking some questions on the car. Sadly, it looked like the originally low mileage seats were swapped for plain high mileage set that did not match the interior. Small 997 world!

We wouldn't all be here if we didn't have the same problem - LOL

After buying my 4th P-car, which seem to only come through a one-way door an never leave (unlike your problem), and having to park my truck outside year round now, my wife told me that if another car showed up I'd be looking for a new wife. I thought "hmmm - that would actually free up 2 garage spots", but guess I actually said it out-loud...for some reason she didn't find it nearly as humorous as I did

+1 for our saintly wives though
