+1 on this thread.
+1 on your awesome wife. Mine would have went ape **** on me if I tried to rebuy a car I sold.
+1 on comment that you might end up driving home in a different 911 if you do this cross country thing.

This forum is kind of like AA for car addicts. It's good to tell others your issues and get it out there. I've just started peeking out of the doghouse after my latest purchase a month ago as I bought my 4th Porsche in 6 years. I enjoyed all the P-cars but did make a mistake buying a Cayenne (kind of like your Mercedes mistake but I only did it once :-)
My wife doesn't read rennlist but I hope you don't mind that I'm going to have her read your tale as it may help my cause. BTW: I'm done swapping cars for at least 5 years.
My name is Jeff and I promise to be sober for the next 5 years.

Volnomad, thanks for sharing your story. Really enjoyed following your tale. And must echo the comments about the saintly status of your wife. :-) I just bought my first 911 - 2009 C2S in Aqua Blue - and agree it's fun to have a 911 in a less common color. The Aqua Blue isn't quite as unique as the colors in your tale, but I like it. Enjoy your cool ride. Cheers!

Also, I love the Nordic Gold, but that Murano Green.....wow. Try to keep that one in your sights, who knows??
Looking forward to your travelogue, it helps keep us out of the classifieds.....

Volnomad, lucked out and happen to hit the dealer website the day they posted the car. Kept seeing them as cabs, but now that you mentioned it this was the first S coupe I have seen. Lucky me! :-)
