You can't expect Porsche to throw in a free pen, they have to make money....
But in their defense, the Porsche pens are about $150.

OMG, you are so Spot On, at least about pens in general. I was at Rennsport Reunion at Laguna Seca with my 10 year-old daughter two years ago and we found ourselves at the Porsche Corral where they were selling Certificates of Authenticity. So, there was this huge jar of ten cent plastic Porsche pens and my daughter wanted to write something down so I went up to the counter and asked to borrow a pen. The woman behind the counter quickly said, "No." So I told her that my daughter wanted to write a note and needed a pen and she reluctantly gave me one, then said, "Bring it back when you're done." She got busy and just out of principle I took the pen!

The up side is that I told my sales guy this story, he shook his head, disappeared for about a minute, and gave me a box of plastic Porsche pens.

I like the idea of getting a nice tire gauge, I wonder if they make a good one that will fit into the pen holder. Would come in handy when I'm at the gas station trying to get the tire pressure set.

I put a tire gauge there. Without TPMS, it comes in handy quite often.

It's no simple pen, it's called the 'Shake' pen. You shake it to expose the writing tip and shake it to retract it. Now that in itself makes it worth a lot :P
