100% agreed completely.

LOL I own one of those science projects 130K in mods less than 30% of the original parts left on it and worthless to anyone but me. But out of the around 300 cars I've owned in the last 20 years it is the most amazing of them all. Of course it cannot be driven when the roads are cold (no traction controls) and it will kill you if you're not careful. I have messed with every car I've ever owned including Ferrari's and Lamborghini's (I turned a Gallardo to RWD long before Lambo did and it was so much better that way) and the reason is car companies build cars for a wide variety of customers, I just so happen to not fit in to that range. If you plan to keep the car a while and doing mods makes it more enjoyable well I say go for it. These are just machines and machines can be made better.

If you are doing it, go with TPC, best kit.

A colleague did it on his Cayman, and with only 4psi of boost he got another 120hp. Not bad for $10k. Also make sure you are installing 3rd radiator if you have not done so yet. Suncoast has a kit.

Since 2007. I'm currently sitting on deck in Avalon harbor enjoying a nice cup of coffee.

Years ago you could do that with the air cooled cars reasonably well. But with the water boxers it is much harder (expensive) and so you need to simply buy a turbo if you have to have the power. However, I suggest that the car is already fast enough. Is this for a track? Street?

When looking for more power, the turbo kit is the only way to go. We are running a holiday sale that ends today with a 10% discount!

Thanks for all the replies , I think I will be much better off just keeping this as is . Until some douche in a turbo"d civic beats me that is haha. As for the IMS failure I noticed a small oil drip under the car and was going in for a oil change anyway so had them look at it . They said it was a small leak which was about to turn into a big problem and suggested replacing it . I only owned it for a few months prior to fixing . It had about 38000km on it at the time (52000km) present. It sounds like I may have gotten off lucky I couldn't imagine having bought it then blow the engine ? I am going to leave it as is thanks so much for saving me a lot of headaches and $$$ .
