owned a .1 now have a .2.. looks and all the gritty technical info aside, its a completely different animal. The DFI is way freer revving and it feels like it develops power earlier, it sounds completely different as well. The interior is much more modern inc. the nav, bluetooth, mp3, usb etc.
you have to drive both and but only if the .2 is in the budget...

The 997 was revised in 2008 for the 2009 model year. The updated Porsche 911 (called 997 Gen II internally at Porsche[10]) included following changes:
A new engine for the S is mounted 0.4 inch lower in the tail section
