According to this book;

Also larger brake rotors, larger calipers, larger master cylinder. Improved brake cooling ducting. Plus the stuff mentioned in the above posts.

Apparently, 997.2 received updated braking logic. Enhanced brake readiness, when accelerator is released quickly, PSM hydraulic unit pre pumps the brake lines prior to actually stepping on the brake pedal, thereby improving brake response and shorten stopping distance.
Also Drive-Off Assistant (hill assist) is new for 997.2
997.2 AC compressor new design, no clutch, always spinning. Refrigerant flow regulated externally.

All the window switches, PCM buttons, etc. went to a soft-touch black vs. a grey-ish and the tactility is much better. I noticed the first time I test-drove a 997.2. It just feels like a higher quality item. It was even more noticeable when I bought another 997.1 later. The radio ***** and window switches felt a lot flimsier. That said, I don't buy Porsches for their window switches, so the relative simplicity of the 997.1 (no DFI) outweighed the creature comforts of the 997.2. For a daily driver, I would recommend the 997.2 much more considering the bluetooth, sat radio, improved nav, etc.

I've owned both and hand-washed them so I know their sensuous curves pretty intimately. Let me explain what I discovered.
The front center intake is designed differently. On a 997.1 the center is a closed-off space (unless you have the center radiator). On a 997.2, there are channels running from the side edges to the side intakes to improve flow to the radiators.
Each front side intake on a 997.2 look taller, has two black cross-slats instead of a body-colored one, and aren't quite as evenly oval as the 997.1.
The lip under the nose is designed a little differently with a bit of a black lip underneath the leading edge and protects the paint a little better from driveway scrapes.
In the rear, the area surrounding the exhaust on a 997.1 is painted and is just part of the bumper. On a 997.2 the area around the exhaust is a different plastic (presumably more heat resistant).
On the 997.1 there is a outward line starting at the rear wheel well that carries all of the way around the rear about 4-5 inches from the bottom.
On the 997.2 that line fades smoothly into the bumper before it turns to the rear. Also on the 997.2, the area between and around the exhausts is shaped differently and includes the exhaust, while on the 997.1 the different area was isolated between the exhausts and didn't wrap around them.
There is also that little turn-up on the rear lights at the inside as someone else mentioned.
See photos. Much of this is cosmetic, although the change in the intake design probably improves cooling a little while the rear end change probably protects the rear bumper paint better from heat and possible reduces carbon build-up on the paint as well.
