Default Spoiler/wing cabel/wireing missing

Hi guys! I´m new to the forum and a new 997 owner, my first porsche

Got my 997 mk1 3,6L one month ago with a retrofitted spoiler.
Did not like it and took it of for a classic look.

Now to my problem, the original wing does not work, the cable/wireing is missing!
No failure lights, the previous owner must have had these fixed some how?
My tech does not know what part to order for i to work and Porsche does not know either.

Help!

Let see if I can help. If you put the original deck lid back, then order the original deck lid wiring harness. After you install the wiring harness, have the dealer recode the deck lid.
What happen was when the previous owner installed the wing, he properly have the dealer coded the deck lid as a fix wing so it doesn't throw the error at 70 miles or above. Therefore, your original spoiler doesn't work.

Thx Khaim3!

The deck lid is as in the picture, everything is as original but without the wire.
The problem is that Porsche does not know how to order the wireing harness, they can't find the spare parts Nr. In their ordering system.
Is there a pelican parts option that you know of (can't find it myself) or maybe on eBay, seams that these parts rarely go on eBay?

The coding is (I hope the) smallest issue my dealer says he can fix that easy.
Finding the wireing parts is the big problem.

Thanks once again!

Are you looking to sell the spoiler you took off the car?

Unfortunately it got broken during the removal, the previous owner had glued it on and got shattered in 2 places upon removal

I know! Guess if the body shop guy was happy, had to re-paint the deck lid!
Black rims and wing before, classic look after I got my hands on it

On 997-2 it is part number 997 612 670 71 (looks to be same for 997-1). See attached PDF and link: http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...artscatalogue/

Actualy the Part number for 997 wing wire harness #997 612 670 71 is for a fixed wing, like the one he already has on the car, what he needs is the original wire harness.

This is the part number from the original parts catalog for OEM rear deck lid (all 997's). OEM was self deploying spoiler, no mention of fixed wing, so perhaps it is the same wiring harness. IDK.

If you are willing to wait a couple of weeks I will be removing the original harness from my 997.1 and replacing it with a fixed harness. You are more than welcome to it.

Hi guys, thanks for all your replies!
I think I need this part, not 100% sure since its from a 996 but see the video from 1:25sec to 6:25sec.

My wing break light does NOT work.
Wing motor works when connected to a external battery (it goes up and down when i connect it to a external battery).

PhilD - I have no rush so please give me a hint when yours is out
what wing are you installing ?

I'll let you know when it is out, should be by next weekend. I have a GT2 style wing going in for paint on Friday, so it is just of case of waiting for that to get done and then finding some time over the Holidays to install it.

Hey guys!
Hope you all had a great Holliday!
So Porsche still don't know anything about the part, they sent a trouble ticket to the factory to get some help, let's see if I'll get lucky!
How did your install go PhilD? Any pics ???
997_toronto - the paint guy still has the spoiler and I will drop by to see if it's of any use in a couple of weeks. Will post pics here when I get it, he said that it might be re-used so let's hope
