Default New for me 997.1 - what to do next?

Just purchased a 2007 guards red c2 cab with tiptronic. Not the fastest car, but very low miles and fun. Not a daily driver, strictly a nice weather car and will not track it. Wheels are classic likely keep them for now....So what do I do next?

I'd like to upgrade the stereo (has Bose but ipod etc.), would not mind a little better exhaust, I need to fix console (has a small crack but e-brake) - considering leather or painted (red of silver for paint) or sand beige leather. Came with extended warranty so not sure I can chip it and not void warranty.

Thanks

Hi cbenz, congrats on your new ride! I just purchased my first Porsche 2 days ago. Its an '08 C4S with only 3700 miles. Its such a thrill to drive! I am going to put on aftermarket wheels as I don't particularly like the stock wheels. I'm also considering an integrated Bluetooth system and was considering a different exhaust but the stock exhaust is growing on me so I may wait a bit for changing that if I do at all. I did go to the Porsche dealer in town to go over the maintenance schedule and pick up some Porsche swag.

Contact Eric at bumperplugs.com for the painted console.

Huge congrats!

For the exhaust, if all you want is better sound, check out Darin Fister at Fister-Dipietro Motorsports. I had him do the FisterD exhaust on my car and love the sound (and the price is right at ~$350 installed, or $250 plus core exchange if you're not local).

I'd look into the Dectane LED taillights, too. Makes a big difference in upgrading the exterior look of the car. Also, check out the LED interior light upgrades, you'd be surprised how much newer the car will feel with the cool white light, instead of the dingy yellow stock lighting (good upgrade for less than $100). Speaking of good cheap upgrades, I added illuminated door sills in my car for about $250. Do a search on here for "Jerry illuminated door sills". He does good work, is super quick, and a nice guy, too.

Just a few ideas. Most of all, have fun with it!

Congrats on the new whip! post some pix so we can all have a peek and and then it'll be easy to make suggestions for what all you like to mod.

I agree that the LED DRL's are a real nice update for the 997.1

What Para said. Simple to the point and cost effective.

I like the tail lights...where is best place to order them?

I am also relatively close to Fabspeed - was thinking of checking them out for muffler upgrades.

Added painted console to list...

Drive it for six months. Play with it after that.
Mine came lowered, really? possibly too low for me.
Came with PSE. Still love it.
Used with some patina. I have added no Additional Patina.
