Sometimes I get the parking light indicator will turn on my 2010 911 c4s. Does anyone know why this comes on periodically?

I will review the manuals later to understand why.

If you parked the car, shut it down but with the turn signal lever up (or down), the parking lights will be illuminated. Maybe that's it. A "euro" thing - been on Porsche's ever since I can remember, even back to my 71 911T.

^correct. Make sure turn signal is at neutral when parked.

It's a European thing for parking.
It your at the end of row or on the shoulder, it makes your car visible.

I've once had people call the cops on me because they thought the parking lights looked suspicious and assumed that the car was stolen.


I haven't used them since.

Its a european thing. Wife still calls me when she takes my car. "One parking light won't go off".
Used to mark the car on the black night and the 1 1/2 lane roads.

Timely post, this happened to me for the 1st time yesterday. Turns out the turn signal was still on.
