Am I the only person who thinks this? In my eyes the .1 is cleaner and more 'classic 911' than the newer variant. Not a fan of LEDs either.

Curious if I am alone in this boat.

To me the 991 is a concept looking car. The 997 is just raww

 

Only when I owned one. Once I traded up to the 997.2, I found it more attractive. Classic rationalization at work, love the one you're with. Now that I don't own either, I think the Ford Focus is the hottest thing out there.

 

My opinion would be too bias to make such a judgement.

 

I'm bias and will stick with my non-LED lights. And I'm still wearing an analog watch... Omega Seamaster. My boys call it "old school". Gessh... how did I get here. How much do they want for that 991 again? JK... LOL.

I just picked up a Boxster Spyder and I haven't even looked at my 997.1 in weeks.

 

Biased but I love my 997.1

 

They both are great, but I'm bias to the .2

 

My buddy with a .1 teases me that the tail lights on my .2 look like they're melting. However, I like the interior on the .2 more than the .1.

 

I do, I think the 997.1 is better looking than the 997.2. Subtle but the differences are there.

 

I agree about the interior of the .2 being better and wouldn't mind changing to the newer PCM.

 

No. I had two 997.1 and now my 2012 GTS. I don't dislike the 997.1, but I do think the 997.2 looks better, although the changes are not drastic.

If i could justify getting a .2..... i would do it in a heartbeat.
I love the LEDs but have started hating 'em only for the reason that every car maker is sticking - not fitting - sticking LEDs onto their products. Carmakers nowadays do not even care about whether their LEDs look nice or not. Just gotta stick the ***** in.
