Just bought a 2011 997.2 GTS cab.....
..........with only 5600 miles on it.
Got a great deal from a dealership in OH (I live in Louisiana). It's a 2011 CPO'd through 12/2017 with PDK and sport chrono plus.
I've had a Cayman S from 2008-2010, but this is my first 911, and serves as a second car.
Any advice from the 911 gurus on getting the most out of my car?
Unfortunately the closest Porsche dealership is one hour away and they don't have a great rep. The next closest is two hours away in New Orleans.
My hope was to get routine service through a local guy here in town who is a former Porsche master technician.
Any thoughts on tracking vs not tracking the car? The roads in south LA are pretty lousy by and large so I thought one of the things that would be nice would be to take the car out to the track from time to time, although I realize that will wear through the brakes and tires very quickly.
I'll post pics soon.

Congrats on the GTS! Absolutely drive that car on the track. NOLA Motorsports Park is an awesome facility with a great track surface and plenty of run-off. If you have any questions on how to get involved, let me know. We are having a DE with the PCA Mardis Gras Region the last weekend of July. Hope you can make it, as I do not remember us having a GTS out there yet!

Congrats on the new (to you) ride!
Nolasport in New Orleans should be able to handle service needs/tuning/etc....we can highly recommend them - reach out to Jon and drop our name if needed. 9700 Palm St. (assuming you are in or near NO).
Beyond that, drive it like you stole it!
Enjoy, and post pics soon.
