...consider the way that Bentleynis finishing its engine presentation, too....
The jewelry.....even the smallest details such as oil filler cap are gem like...if Porsche is trying to move the 911 brand further upmarket as pricing and model proliferation suggest, then the product must move upmarket in parallel.....
For me, finally, all 356 and all 911 engines, 1966-1989 were quite beautiful to look at....

I hate to say it because it I so unoriginal, but we are talking about the Germans here - "Form follows function". For me, and this is just for me, I would not care if 50 gerbils running on a treadmill powered my engine, as long as it performed as advertised. . . A window so that you can see the engine takes away from the subtle artistry of the coach works -but maybe that's just me turning into a retro grouch?!

Ferrari's are mid engine as are Lambo's
No rear seats so it's east to put the motor on display.
And the glass is so you can see which part is on fire.

I rather have performance and reliability than beauty!

While I like to look at those artfully displayed engines and enjoy them, you are paying for the display. How much more would you pay to have a Porsche engine artfully displayed? (Assuming it could be done well)
