Poll: 991 50th Anniversary Edition or GT3
I'm new to the whole Porsche thing. I had the fortunate opportunity to reserve an allocation for the 911-50 but also am considering the GT3 (either or). But I need your opinions. I'm not crazy about any of the colors being offered for the 911-50. Would you guys/gals pick the 911-50 or GT3? And if the 911-50, then would you get: 1. Geyser grey (lighter). 2. Graphite grey (darker) or 3. Monochrome Black?
If GT3, then what color from the porsche color palate? Sapphire Blue Metallic and Rhodium silver are the new colors being offered.
Choices:
911-50 Geyser Grey
911-50 Graphite Grey
911-50 Monochrome Black
GT3 - What color would you select?
Appreciate all opinions. Thanks.

It's an awful lot of money to spend for a car (the 50th Anniv. model) that you are not enamored with - unless what you are buying into is the cache of a limited production offering (which there is nothing wrong with at all). If you go with a GT3 or C2S or C2 at least you can find one pretty much with what you want or order it exactly the way you want instead of settling for what PAG decides you should have w/ the 50th Anniv. car.

Are you a track guy (from your description doesn't sound like it)? Is this think more about backroad riding agressively or cruising around with the wife/GF? I think how you will use the car will determine. If you're into the track, reco GT3 no question. If you're not going to the track I would sway you away from the GT3. It's going to rattle your teeth out on rough roads and scrape on many driveways. I'd go 991 50th in graphite for street. Or maybe check out a 997 GTS which is also a great choice for the street if you can find one.
this is a nice conundrum to have.
