I just purchased a ’07 Carerra S in great shape with low miles. The only issue is the four exhaust tips which are discolored due, I expect, to continued heating and cooling cycles. I haven’t tried to clean/polish yet, any advice from the experts on the list?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You can also take them off to make them easier to clean.

Most any metal polish or polishing compound will work very well. If you want to do a super job, remove the tips and polish them with polishing compound on a bench grinder with a soft polishing wheel mounted on one side - this will bring them back to new condition.

Here are some very old pictures of cleaning results of the center tail pipe of my then Boxster. The results were quite amazing and the process was not that bad either. Should have washed the car too ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

The brushed stainless steel holds the carbon extremely well.
I used everything. Many different compounds do work.
But having said that, I tire of spending almost as must time on the tips as the whole car.
Fabspeed polished stainless tips fixed it all.
Now its just a wipe with a damp paper towel. so flippin easy now!
