Just had winter wheels and tires (Pirelli Sottozero Serie II) installed the other day. Although the pic doesn't do them justice, I really prefer the Carrera S aka "Lobster claw" wheels to the more blingy Turbo wheels I had on there before. The Pirelli tires are great too. I drove them in quite a bit of rain the other day and there was no hydroplaning going on at all. I didn't realize how dumb I was driving nearly bald Bridgestone Potenzas in the rain until I got the Pirellis installed. The Potenzas hydroplaned like mad. The ride is also MUCH quieter than the Potenzas, but it could have something to do with having fresh tread vs. worn tread.

Default Lets see your 997...

Finally took some interior shots.

Black/gray full leather with some special painted stuff. All factory options.

Loving this car, had it 3 months now.

Beautiful car. Love the classic look with the lobsters. IMO 911's are really something else when it comes to choosing wheels. Wheels that look great on 911's usually don't look right on other cars and viceversa. That's one of the many reasons that make them so special.

I agree. Would love to ship my 911 out there and do the ACH, PCH, etc. Is there a best time to drive the Angeles Crest Highway, when it's not too crowded?

Thank you E.Chair ! Love your car... I agonized for weeks over the wheels.

Black wheels are fabulous but somehow, on a white car, they do not seem to be right... unless there is a white band around the tyre.

In the end, I ordered the Turbo II wheels, and a front lip by FVD Brombacher (very similar to the aerokit/Sport Classic lips).

These are discreet improvements, just enough to beautify the lady 997 4S

Pictures will be forthcoming, of course !! Congrats for yours !!!!!!! (and the red 991 too)
