Okay, spit it out, L-R, what kinds of speeds did you hit?
I-15 between LA and Vegas has CHP presence near Baker, Barstow and Victorville. Depending on the day of the week, the traffic can be heavy…and the semis create rolling roadblocks when they pass each other with minuscule overtake speed.
I’ve driven that stretch 6 times in the last two months of 2022 and had zero Waze reports or visual sightings of any type of LEO. Eastbound has been afternoon/early to late evening, returns were after midnight with sparse traffic- like overtake one car every few minutes. Trucks stay to right so most passes are drama free. Typical American left lane bandits with zero situational awareness are real pimples on the fanny of progress.
Traded leads with a Bentley Continental GT one night after getting around slow semis. I did pull away eventually and briefly saw 155 on the digital speedo.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, drives 65 mph on that stretch. I’ve been passed dozens of times when holding a steady 100-115.
My GTS covered 205 miles in 1:55 on one leg. Oil and H2O temps were normal, even on long uphill grades.
