road trip

just did 1100 miles across four days roadtripping w/ a childhood buddy visiting from deutschland. he's about to retire from the polizei, has been trained in high-speed pursuit driving, and is one of the few people i'd trust to put my 997 through its paces. showed me a few things, too. car performed flawlessly, we had nothing but blue skies and open roads, two lifetime friends adding some very nice memories to our collection. classic 911 experience.

we drove from tucson up to flagstaff via globe, roosevelt lake, and payson; then up to kanab, ut via lake powell.

that picture is taken on the way back, looking east on 89a between jacob lake and marble canyon, one of my favorite roads in the west.
