@swoardrider do you have some kind of matte or flat wrap on your car? If so I’d love to see more. I’m debating “wrapping” my car in xpel stealth but would love to see black matte 997s before I commit.

also gt3 or souped up gts? Either way looks fun, just curious.

Its a modded GTS. The previous owner put on it a GT3 front bumper, GT3RS deck lid and wing. He also wrapped the whole car in a matte finish 3M clear bra. I keep going down the modding rabbit hole and keep putting track parts on it

No. . They are BBS Motorsports RE-MTSP in a 19” wide body fitment designed for the 997.2 GT3RS. The OEM centerlock wheels are kind of a joke for a forged wheel. They are heavy as s**t!

I’m sure you’re paying good money for this job, which is coming out nicely, so I would have them redo this since the color strip isn’t straight

A more complete picture, but not as clear as I’d like. Better pics will follow…….

Gave mine a clean and a "polish" ...i say polish but really just one towel to dry then second towel to properly dry so to speak. may get myself a proper detail for father's day. Anyway, tried one of those black trim rejuvenation products, it REALLY lifted the look. I did all the trim around the doors but also the large swathes under the wipers and especially in the bottom of the grille. Photo taken on a heavily clouded day, the colour is odd as it shift to a middle blue aqua on bright days then a dark blue with a more purple hue in the shade. I guess that's why it is called Aqua Blue Metallic.

I intended to switch to black wheels to sporty the car up but I suspect they may get lost with this blue, maybe red seat belts to match the calipers will work better.

A couple of shots that were taken of my car this weekend from the annual RDS/Porsche of the Main Line road rally. Nice photos really makes me want to get the old PPF off of the front bumper and headlights.

IMO your car looks great with silver wheels.

Default 2011 C4S PDK

Hi
Love to watch your 997’s in this thread, so here is my 997.2 – my first Porsche. Wanted a 997 for years. The right car crossed my path, so I bought it. It’s just an awesome car and drive.

2011 C4S PDK with 61.000 km / 38.000 miles. Color is platinum silver – really sparkly silver in the sun - pictures cant capture the bright sparkle, almost looks dull in pictures – and color is golden toned when in the shadows. Ocean Blue leather interior, which is very dark blue, almost looks black in shadow and greyish dark blue in the sun.

Just gave it a quick wash in the pics is it was dirty from driving in the rain.
Enjoy, and please keep posting pictures of your 997 – just love those pics.
