Managed to get out last weekend for potentially the last run before the snow (and salt) flies here in VT. Had a fun drive going around VT and NH back roads.
Far from memorable shots, they do not do the road justice either -- straights to gather up speed and then fun little twists. Just outside Grafton.
Drove up and down some fun roads around Santa Cruz mountains.
Love this car but that second gear requires a little getting used to. Been blipping the revs on up shifts from 1st to 2nd to smooth out the gear change. Shifter or clutch or something else?

My backyard. Ping me if you want to drive sometime -- I'm in Portola Valley. What are you experiencing -- difficulty in getting into 2nd with grinding, even after a warmup, or hard to get into gear but no grinding, or something else?

Sounds like a plan.
Some kind of grinding getting into second. Gets better when warmed up but not perfect.
Others can probably tell you more, but changing your transmission fluid can help. If it's doing it after it's warmed up it could be a worn syncro issue or cable out of adjustment. My 997 only did this 1st -> 2nd grinding when stone cold for about about 2-3 minutes, then shifted without issue.

I’m going to have it checked out some time soon. Probably CT Automotive in Campbell.
Been reading about the fluid change and how everybody seems very happy with it. We’ll see.
I remember driving your car, shift were smooth although the car was nicely warmed up by then

Mine has a small grind in 5th when cold, unless I shift into 5th in slowmotion. Smooth when warmed up.
