errrrg,... winter is still incoming,... and a long siesta awaits,..... but now the opportunities to drive seem to get fewer & fewer between (esp with holiday preparations taking high priority)...
... like me,... any of you find yourself slipping the cover partly off,... just to sneak a peak as you continually find excuses to walk through the garage? ... kinda like lingerie ....
Hilarious post...yet painful at the same time. I feel for all you guys who have to cover up their babies for the long winter months. You should grab a lawn chair, fire up a good cigar and pour a glass of wine, then just sit next to her for an hour or so.
Yes I do walk by almost every day and pat my pretty one on the top as I go by as for living in California I can drive her all year long. I drive her every Friday to work what a way to start the weekend.
P.S. This picture was taken Last year in the dead of winter.
It looked a bit differnt when I was there for work last week.

That's not winter...
This is winter!
Happy Holidays. Hope everyone has good miles ahead.

... right on,.... something like that for me,.... I usually decide {mid winter}, to setup my lift bars & put the car a couple feet up off the ground,... lay some thick carpet underneath,... grab a small cooler,... & end up falling asleep underneath,... with the Lab dog next to me.
wife just usually laughs at me when I've missed dinner because of it.
... but by the end of the winter, the underneath is usually spotless!! ... and then I usually need to lose the extra 10-15 lbs of alcohol weight.
I've never posted mine before. Searched for a long time and sold a really nice BMW 1M for this.
2005 S, 37k miles, one owner car who was a PCA member and had Vision Motorsports do the IMS/RMS and clutch before he passed away in 2017. He also had them do FVD Brombacher exhaust and tune along with EVOMS intake.
I added the wheels, front lip, painted the mirrors and had a few other bits blacked out. I have a duckbill being painted now and that will likely be it for the exterior cosmetic stuff for awhile.
^^^^ Those wheels are neat, haven't seen something just like that before. Which is rare since the wheel styles on 911 are a bit limited. Really interested in the comparison between this car and the 1M, if you care to share. I've lusted after that car since day 1 and just could never get myself to pay over (or at MSRP) on a used car. I still want one, bad.

Sure. The 1M has absolutely earned its reputation, IMO. Just a fantastic driver’s car. I was lucky to find what some call “a stripper” car (though not a “fully” true stripper...long, boring, BMW guy story) with manual seats, no nav etc.
The 1M is noted for its steering feel but I honesty say the 997 is as good (if not slightly better....gasp). The 1M was my second rare 1 series in a row as I had a 135is which is actually even more rare, and I grew tired of the looks at some angles to be honest.
Also, the 40k miles on mine left it in a weird spot for value with it not being a low mile car and not exactly a driver so I worried about mileage too much. I ended up making some money on it and got a car I loved looking at in the garage, at all angles. I also love the NA power on the 997 vs the turbo cars I’ve had lately.
