Found a cool road above Ojai, Cali while browsing google maps over breakfast in Santa Barbara.
While Highway 33 is a great road itself, there's a 10 mile long single lane road out to a campground with awesome views at the summit.
I wish I could've joined you. That looks amazing. I'm not triggered by gravel.
I do the same thing when it comes to looking for interesting routes. I browse Google Maps all the time. Glad to see I'm not the only one who does that.

I love CA-33, I've driven it twice. Once in My S4 and then again in the GTS. I didn't really explore alternate routes off it though. Your car looks great, I've taken a couple road trips in my car but recently got a nail in the tire and had a difficult time finding a shop to work on it. Porsche said they wouldn't bother repairing and would only replace. This was a 2 month old PS4S so I wasn't pleased with that response. I had to call Sharkwerks and they recommended a shop that would do it. That experience makes me more hesitant to take the car on road trips, CL wheels are a headache.

No gravel, just on the shoulders, when they existed. Paved and smooth but 1 1/2 lanes wide, so I was honking around every corner, especially on the way in, which puts you on the outside/downhill side of the slope. No guardrails and easily a 1000' drop-off. I thought 2nd gear was perfect, but felt way more confident driving back out of the dead end, on the inside against the slope and having seen the road's features on the way in.

Nice work, and that's not in your head. You've removed a ton of unsprung weight and rotational inertia by going to the much lighter rotors. You'll also get zero brake dust, no fade during heavy use, and essentially lifetime use of those rotors (unless you track the car) - PCCBs are unbelievably awesome !

Nice PCCB upgrade. You are the first guy I've seen do it to a 997 GTS.
The red trim on the OZ kind of clashes with the yellow calipers, but the upgrade is very cool. I think it was an $8 or 10K option on the new car.
What sizes wheel and rubber did you go with?
I am about to buy some OZ Ultraleggera HLT CL wheels for my identical GTS and have chosen the stock size 8.5x19 ET53 with 235/35/ZR19 MPSC4 for the fronts. The offset should push the sidewall out nearly flush with the wheel well lip with no issues. One Rennlist member put 9x19 on the front and 12x19 on the rear with no rubbing- and he has SPORT PASM, which is 10mm lower than my PASM.
The rears, however provide a choice between 12x19 ET48 with either 305 or 325 MPSC4 (two RL members reported no rubbing problems with either choice). Which size tire did you go with?

I recently purchased BBS RE MTSP forged CL wheels in :
BBS RE-MTSP Mono Centerlock in Satin Ti - 19x9 ET47
BBS RE-MTSP Mono Centerlock in Satin Ti - 19x12 ET48
I'm running 245/35 MPS4S in the front and 305/30 PS4S in the rear. The car is currently on Eibach springs and there are no issues with rubbing. My car can go much lower in the rear.
